SJEF receives Effective Education Award from regional youth coalition.
The San Juan Education Foundation (SJEF) received the Effective Education Award at the September 22 e:merge Convening of over 300 youth, community and business leaders and area politicians to recognize successful regional programs. The award was presented to SJEF Executive Director Pam Lapinski by Mayor Kevin Johnson. The guest speaker, General Colin Powell, encouraged attendees to continue their good work on behalf of our nation’s youth.
