In December 2025, we reached a significant milestone, surpassing $1 million in total investments supporting students and classrooms across the San Juan Unified School District.
Since our founding, the Foundation has worked to bridge funding gaps in public education by investing directly in educators, students, and learning environments. Through classroom grants and student scholarships, these funds have supported hands-on learning, expanded opportunities, and helped bring innovative ideas to life in local schools.
“This milestone reflects the strength of a community that continues to show up for its schools,” said Colleen Cadwallader, Executive Director of the San Juan Education Foundation. “It represents years of steady support from donors, educators, and community partners who believe in what’s possible for our students.”
Recent investments have included funding for classroom innovation, STEM learning tools, arts programs, and socioemotional supports that help students feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.
“Our work is only possible because of the people who believe in public education and invest in it,” Cadwallader said. “This milestone belongs to them.”
