A trailblazer in women’s basketball, Danielle Viglione was one of the original members of the WNBA’s Sacramento Monarchs, joining the league in its inaugural season in 1997. She went on to play professionally for 10 seasons across Israel, Turkey, and Italy.

A two-time California State Player of the Year and national record holder at Del Campo High School, Danielle scored over 3,000 points during her high school career. She starred at the University of Texas, where she averaged 15.8 points per game and became one of the Longhorns’ all-time top scorers.

After retiring from professional play, Danielle founded the Sacramento Skills Academy in 2009, where she continues to train players of all ages. Her coaching career has taken her around the world, leading Nike camps across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. In 2024, she joined the coaching staff of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks as an assistant coach.

Her many honors include inductions into the CIF Hall of Fame, the Sacramento Sports Hall of Fame, and the University of Texas Athletics Women’s Hall of Honor.
