The San Juan Education Foundation was proud to celebrate the Class of 2026 at our first annual ACHIEVE Scholarship Celebration, bringing together students, families, scholarship funders, educators, and community supporters for a morning of recognition, gratitude, and hope.
Created to honor both scholarship recipients and the generous supporters who make these opportunities possible, the inaugural event provided a meaningful opportunity to celebrate achievement, connection, and community.
This year’s celebration recognized an exceptional group of graduating seniors whose accomplishments reflect the values at the heart of the ACHIEVE Scholarship Program: Agency, Community, Hope, Impact, Exploration, Voice, and Excellence.
Through the generosity of individuals, families, businesses, service organizations, and community partners, dozens of scholarships were awarded to students pursuing higher education, career training, and other post-secondary opportunities. Each award represents more than financial support—it is a vote of confidence in a student’s potential and a reminder that their community believes in them.
The event also provided an opportunity to recognize the scholarship funders whose investments continue to open doors for students across San Juan Unified. Many of these donors have supported students for years, creating lasting legacies that help remove barriers and expand access to opportunity.
The ACHIEVE Scholarship Program exists because of a community that chooses to invest in students. Every scholarship awarded reflects the collective belief that talent, determination, and hard work should be met with opportunity.
To our scholarship recipients: congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. We are honored to be part of your journey and look forward to seeing all that you achieve.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our scholarship funders: Republic Services, City of Citrus Heights, FLINT Design-Build, Sacramento Kids’ Dentistry, Sacramento Women’s Chorus, The Tolleson Family, Stonewall Foundation of Greater Sacramento, Donnoe & Associates, Catrayel Wood and JaNay Brown-Wood, The Gebhardt Family, The Thompson Family and Zander Mausloff, The Ward Family, The Eidem Family, and Ryan Alvarez and Family.
We are also grateful to the Hernandez Family Foundation for their generous $20,000 scholarship match, which expanded opportunities for even more students this year.
Together, we are investing in education and enriching lives. See list of recipients.
