Mesa Verde Senor Scholarship

Eligibility:  Any graduating senior who is planning on attending an accredited university, college, community college, trade school, vocational school or apprenticeship program.  

Selection & Scoring Criteria: The Scholarship Committee will consist of three staff members and one administrator.  No member of the committee shall be a parent of a senior student.  Other school administrators may be consulted for information regarding individual applicants; they will NOT, however, have any vote in the selection process.  MVHS will pull a transcript to verify grades and eligibility after applications are received. 

The Committee will review each application and score them based upon the following criteria:

• The student’s ability to follow directions, have a complete application packet, and the overall organization of their submitted application. 

• The extent to which the student participated in school-related events and programs. 

• The extent to which the student participated in off-campus/community-related events and programs.

• Awards and Accomplishments while at Mesa Verde. 

• Essay presentation.  Scored based on general organization, grammar/spelling and punctuation, and most importantly, a purposeful, thoughtful response.
