Cheryl recently retired from the San Juan Unified School District after a career dedicated to supporting students, educators, and school communities. She spent 25 years teaching children in grades 1–5 at Kingswood K-8 School before moving into practitioner support and mentoring roles, concluding her career as a mentor in the Cultivating Leaders program.

Cheryl is passionate about continuing to support students and educators through the San Juan Education Foundation’s scholarship and grant programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento, a master’s degree in Mathematics Education from California State University, Chico, and a Professional Coaching Certification from the University of California, Davis.

A proud product of the San Juan community, Cheryl attended Marvin Marshall, Winston Churchill Middle School, and graduated from El Camino High School. She lives in Carmichael with her daughter, a graduate of Del Campo High School.
