At the San Juan Education Foundation, we believe that great teaching deserves great support.
That’s why our PROPEL Grant Program offers flexible funding for educators and staff ready to make a difference in their classrooms, schools, and communities.
To meet the diverse needs of San Juan Unified, we offer three levels of grants—each designed to bring your ideas to life.
How Will You PROPEL?
PROPEL Resources Grant
Up to $500
Helping reduce out-of-pocket costs for educators.
Supplying essential classroom tools that directly support student learning and achievement. Examples include classroom library books, curricular materials, math manipulatives, garden supplies, sports equipment, or music and art resources. Requests for ongoing annual expenses or items meant primarily for an educator’s use (such as a rolling cart) are not eligible.
PROPEL Achievement Grant
Up to $2,500
Giving instruction a lift by funding enriched experiences.
Supporting experiences and tools that enrich learning, deepen understanding, and spark student engagement. Examples include funding for unforgettable field trips, equipping science labs, enhancing art and music programs, or hands-on classroom technology.
PROPEL Innovation Grant
Up to $7,500
Fueling innovative ideas that create lasting change.
Fueling bold projects that reach beyond the classroom. From launching school-wide programs to piloting new teaching models or building community connections, these grants empower educators to dream big and lead with vision.
