Charles Cochran serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer at First Northern Bank. In this leadership role, he oversees the bank’s lending operations—including commercial, agribusiness, and real estate—while driving strategic growth for the Sacramento region’s premier local small business lender. With nearly two decades of experience in finance and operational risk management, Charles brings a high level of fiscal oversight and strategic planning to the San Juan Education Foundation.
A dedicated advocate for public education, Charles serves on the Board of Directors alongside his wife, Julia. Their shared commitment to the Foundation reflects a deep-rooted family investment in the San Juan Unified community. Charles and Julia are the proud parents of six children, all of whom currently attend or have graduated from San Juan Unified schools.
Charles holds an MBA in Data Analytics from Louisiana State University, Shreveport, and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. In 2024, he was honored with the CREW Catalyst Award for his commitment to promoting women leaders in the commercial real estate industry. A resident of Carmichael, Charles stays active in the community by training in Jiu Jitsu and coaching soccer.
