-Taught high school, elementary school, community college and five universities, teaching early childhood through doctoral candidates and trained teachers in 26 states
-Conducted public policy work for 27 years in the areas of teacher and teacher development
-Served on educational foundations, committees and boards across the country, in California and locally
-Served as a parent volunteer in son’s classrooms and most recently as a school board member for 8 years
