How We harness funds

The San Juan Education Foundation raises funds through our Evening with the STARS gala in the fall and as a beneficiary of the Fair Oaks Sun Run.

The Foundation receives funding from corporations, foundations, and individuals. District employees can contribute through our workplace giving campaign. The STARS Legacy Society enables school supporters to include the Foundation in their estate planning.

Since 2009, the San Juan Education Foundation has been honoring San Juan Unified School District’s top innovators! Our Evening with the Stars event aims to inspire learning and raise funds to provide San Juan Unified School District classrooms with the curriculum, resources and opportunities needed to propel innovative learning. Two signature fundraising events help us bring much needed resources to San Juan Unified classrooms.

There are so many ways to get involved and show your support for our community.

The Fair Oaks Chicken Run has been an annual tradition in Fair Oaks for 40 years. Regarded as one of the most beautiful yet challenging courses around, it never fails to attract both the avid runner and those who are out to have an incredible time at a great event.

Again in 2025, proceeds from the Fair Oaks Chicken Run will benefit the San Juan Education Foundation and San Juan Unified!
