Dusty Baker is a legendary figure in Major League Baseball—an All-Star player, World Series champion, celebrated manager, and inspirational leader on and off the field. A proud graduate of Del Campo High School, Dusty credits his early coaches and teachers for shaping his values and fueling his passion for the game.
As a player, Dusty spent 19 seasons in the majors, earning All-Star honors and winning the 1981 World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was on deck when Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth’s home run record—one of the most iconic moments in baseball history.
Transitioning to management, Dusty led multiple teams deep into the postseason, including the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, and Houston Astros. He became one of the few managers in MLB history to notch 2,000 career wins and take both National and American League teams to the World Series.
A role model and advocate for youth, Dusty founded the Dusty Baker Baseball Camp to teach skills, character, and respect for the game. His lifelong impact on sports, leadership, and community continues to inspire generations.
