Cristina Mendonsa is an EMMY/Murrow award-winning multimedia journalist, producer, spokesperson, speaker, and educator. For over two decades, she’s demonstrated her passion for telling stories with impact and heart by crafting high-quality, relevant, targeted content for nationwide media groups and broadcast networks.
Cristina has reported and anchored for ABC, CBS, and NBC television stations and recently joined the iHeartMedia group where she anchors the morning news for News 93.1 KFBK, the group’s number one Newsradio station. Her reputation for combining a direct approach with a warm interview style has allowed her to secure stories with top newsmakers for 25 years and gain the trust of her viewers and listeners.
In 2017, Cristina launched Mendonsa Media, a marketing and digital content strategy agency. She currently works with leading regional companies, trade groups and government agencies as well as clients in several other states.
Cristina holds a Master’s Degree in Communications and Leadership from Gonzaga University of Washington as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Journalism from CSU Sacramento. As part of her graduate program, Cristina conducted a national study on broadcast journalist work habits. Her research and thesis explored the changing workflow of journalists in the top 20 media markets. Cristina and her husband, author/educator, Jonathan Robinette, live in Folsom.
Cristina Mendonsa is a proud graduate of SJUSD schools - Coyle Ave Elementary, Will Rogers Middle and Del Campo High School.
