Lisa Troshinsky-Fox

Lisa Troshinsky-Fox is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Sociology / Communication (and a semester at the University of Paris, Sorbonne) and has a well-rounded background in media, PR & communications, cause marketing, philanthropy, nonprofit advocacy development and strategic collaboration.

She is passionate about the Sacramento region and loves doing her part to better the community. Lisa's prior experience includes work with a variety of agencies, nonprofits and clients such as Triumph Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, HealthCorps (a national nonprofit educating underserved teens in nutrition, fitness and mental resilience), Initiative/Western Media, Home Line Furniture Industries, California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, and Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation. She served on Visit Sacramento's Farm-to-Fork Youth Engagement Committee; working with Patrick Mulvaney and experts in the region to provide guidance for the first-ever Farm Tank Summit and California State University Sacramento Farm-to-Fork Career Pathway.

Lisa currently supports organizations with grant writing, event planning, marketing/communications and strategic development efforts and plans to continue serving as an independent contractor until the Fall, when her kids leave for college.

Lisa is a Board Member and Membership Chair for Association of Fundraising Professionals Capital Valley Chapter, and as a graduate of San Juan Unified School District (and five teenagers who have all attended SJUSD schools) she is honored to support the San Juan Education Foundation; an organization that she feels directly impacts so many individuals in the local community.

When she is not working, Lisa is likely spending time with her husband (Tom), 3 children (and 2 step children). She also remains committed to being of service to other philanthropic organizations in her spare time. She has a minor obsession with traveling and Country music, and will take any opportunity to road trip with the windows down and music up - preferably to Lake Tahoe or Yosemite. She enjoys spin classes, walks to the river, yoga, her dog (Yoda), dinner with family & friends, movies, dancing, skiing, going to concerts, campfires and the smell of the mountains.
